    Ingredients
      

    • 1 pound ground turkey sausage
    • 1 large egg
    • ¾ cup protein pancake mix such as Kodiak Cakes
    • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
    • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a muffin tin or line with silicone liners.
    • In a large bowl, mix together the turkey sausage, egg, protein pancake mix, and maple syrup until fully combined.
    • Scoop the mixture evenly into the muffin tin, filling each about ¾ full, or form small meatballs and place them on a greased baking sheet.
    • Bake for 12 minutes.
    • Remove from the oven, sprinkle each muffin evenly with shredded cheddar cheese, and return to the oven.
    • Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the muffins are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
    • Let cool slightly before serving or storing.
